How do we perceive the term “NOISE” in marketing?

In marketing, the term “noise” has a negative meaning. Its connotation is saying that the advertising is cluttered – when the public is tired of it and cannot remember any specific message related to. Anyway, it’s not that bad, as long as rather of having silence when speaking about your company, you’d better have “noise”. When there’s “noise” around advertising about your company, at least you know people are talking about you; it’s like a “buzz”.
The main rule in this case consists in having a different “noise” from the rest, so that your potential customers pay attention.
When you decide it’s time for a marketing plan to make some “noise”, applying the 4 Ps rule is a must: Product, Price, Place and Promotion.

When building your key marketing messages, it’s critical to know what appeals to your customers. We can take as an example a working mother who wishes to save time for spending it with her kids, rather than to save money. So the proper message for her, trying to promote an email software, might be: “Choose our email software to automatically sort incoming emails into folders, and flag then as per your personalized settings. Our customers’ reports show a 25% daily time saving in going through their email in-boxes.”
For making sure your marketing campaign, or let’s call it your “buzz” will be beneficial, strategy is the key! You have to have a fundamental understanding of your audience so that you can apply the best strategy and marketing mix. Taking as an example a television habits research of your targeted public, showing they skip TV ads in the evenings, but during the weekends, while they are watching cartoons with their children, they leave the TV ads – a smart strategy is creating a happy family ad, and scheduling it only for weekends running…
